Belarus has nuclear weapons. This was announced by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko during his working trip to Barysau on December 10.

"I brought nuclear warheads here. Not one dozen pieces," BelTA reports his words.

The head of state also shared that he warned all his enemies, "friends" and rivals that there would be an immediate response in case of violation of the state border. He emphasized that he would not look at what kind of weaponry it would be inflicted with.

In addition, Lukashenko said that the launcher for the missile system "Oreshnik" will be made in the country independently, while Russia will supply the missile itself free of charge in the second half of 2025.

The Belarusian leader asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to deliver the Russian complexes for the launch of "Oreshnik" to the country on December 6.

On December 5, the Russian leader ordered to sign a treaty with Belarus on security guarantees within the Union State. The proposal of the Russian Foreign Ministry was coordinated with the interested federal government agencies.

Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeenko told Izvestia on December 6 that inclusion in the Russian concept of nuclear security gives the state certain guarantees.
