Attackers are applying new fraudulent schemes that involve studying the working environment of victims and recording the voice of the bosses. This was reported on December 10 by VTB Deputy Chairman of the Board Georgy Gorshkov.

"Even more sophisticated ways appear when fraudsters study our working environment, record the voice of colleagues or bosses. They get to know our environment, our way of life very well, form a false shell of a circle of trust and swindle out money," he shared in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, fraudsters now analyze the client profile in more detail than before. Gorshkov added that the problem remains people's willingness to hand over their personal information to attackers. He emphasized that it is necessary to "include common sense" when talking to strangers.

On the eve of the Central Bank of Russia (CB) reported that fraudsters began to deceive people more often under the guise of employment and internships. According to the regulator, attackers analyze victims' profiles, invite them to a remote interview, and then ask them to transfer money allegedly to sign an employment contract.
