Russian Armed Forces liberate the village of Zheltoye in the DNR


The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have taken control of the village of Zheltoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 10.
"Units of the Center group of troops as a result of active actions liberated the settlement of Zheltoye in the Donetsk People's Republic," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Also, the Russian grouping of troops hit the living force and equipment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of the settlements of Dzerzhinsk, Shcherbinovka, Dimitrov, Petrovka and Pushkino in the DNR. In addition, eight counterattacks by armed Ukrainian formations were repelled.
The AFU lost more than 785 military personnel, a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, an American M113 armored personnel carrier, two vehicles, a 152-millimeter D-20 gun and three 122-millimeter D-30 howitzers.
Also, enemy manpower and equipment were defeated in 128 areas with the help of aviation, drones, missile forces and artillery.
On December 8, the Russian military liberated the settlement of Blagodatnoye in the DNR. A day earlier, the Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces (AF) took control of the settlement of Berestki in the region.
Before that, on December 6, it was reported that the Russian military liberated the settlements of Pustynka and Sukhiye Yaly in the DNR. On the same day, the Defense Ministry published footage of the Russian Armed Forces destroying a temporary deployment point of a Ukrainian Army National Guard unit in the Donetsk People's Republic.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
