- Peskov allowed Russia to achieve the goals of the Strategic Air Defense Forces at the negotiating table

The Ukrainian side refuses any negotiations on the settlement of the situation, so the special military operation continues. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on December 10.
Earlier in the day, the director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin, said that Russia was close to achieving the goals of the special operation and that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) were on the verge of collapse.
Asked about the possibility of the SVO ending soon, Peskov said that the special operation will end when Russia reaches its goals set by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"These goals may be achieved as an outcome of the special military operation or as an outcome of relevant negotiations. So far there are no negotiation processes. The Ukrainian side refuses any negotiations. Therefore, the special military operation continues until the victorious end," the Kremlin spokesman said at a briefing.
The day before, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo called Russia militarily invincible. He pointed out that the Russian army was winning on the battlefield and that Ukraine's lowering of the age of mobilization in the AFU would not help Kiev circumvent this factor.
Peskov emphasized on December 8 that Russia remains open to negotiations on Ukraine. Moscow's conditions are well known and were outlined in June by the Russian president, he recalled.
Back in June, Putin named the conditions for negotiations on Ukraine at a meeting with the Russian Foreign Ministry leadership. Thus, the Ukrainian army should leave the territories of the new regions of the Russian Federation and Kiev should give up the idea of integration into NATO.
The last round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place in Istanbul on March 29, 2022. They lasted about three hours. Later, Kiev officially refused contacts with Moscow.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
