Bortnikov says AFU uses NATO arsenal to prepare terrorist attacks in Russia

The Kiev regime is using NATO weapons for terrorist attacks on Russia. This was stated by Director of the Russian Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov at a meeting of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC) on Tuesday, December 10.

He noted that the number of terrorist attacks jeopardizing Russia's security has increased significantly in recent years. This is due to the fact that the collective West is constantly supplying Kiev with weapons that are used for these purposes, including missile strikes deep inside the Russian Federation.

"The enemy, with the support of Western intelligence services, has deployed aggressive anti-Russian propaganda, intensified the recruitment of perpetrators of sabotage and terrorist acts, not shying away from deception, threats and blackmail," the agency's press service quoted Bortnikov as saying.

According to the FSB director, international terrorist organizations recruit terrorists among migrant workers and young people, including pupils and students. However, thanks to the coordinated actions of law enforcement agencies, about 200 terrorist attacks at the preparation stage have been prevented this year.

Earlier in the day, the NAC reported that 190 terrorist attacks were prevented in Russia in 2024. It is specified that law enforcement agencies neutralized 38 and detained more than 1.7 thousand bandits and their accomplices, suppressed about 2.7 thousand crimes in the sphere of illegal arms trafficking and seized more than 100 thousand firearms and more than 5.5 thousand explosive devices. In addition, more than 230 million rubles were blocked in the accounts of more than 6,000 persons involved in the financing of terrorism, including armed formations of Ukraine. More than 120,000 Internet materials with terrorist content were also removed.
