- Politico pointed to Biden's "disappearance from the radar" after the Democratic Party's defeat

The current head of the United States Joe Biden "disappeared from the radar" after the defeat of the Democratic Party in the presidential election. This was reported on December 10 by the newspaper Politico.
"Joe Biden remains president of the United States for another 42 days. However, in the Democratic Party, on Capitol Hill and even in his own administration, it feels as if he left the oval office a few weeks ago," the material says.
Politico notes that the incumbent American president "virtually disappeared from the radar" after the defeat of the Democrats in the elections. According to the newspaper, since then he has mostly stuck to prepared speeches, avoiding unplanned public appearances or questions from journalists. It is specified that he has said only seven words to the media in two weeks.
"There is no leadership coming from the White House. A complete vacuum," said a Democrat close to senior lawmakers.
Meanwhile, senior deputy White House press secretary Andrew Bates said Biden is "making every day of his term meaningful" and "setting an example for the sake of American democracy by fulfilling his campaign promise to respect the will of the voters and ensure an orderly transition."
Earlier, on Nov. 26, Bates confirmed the presence of Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at the inauguration of victorious U.S. President Donald Trump in January.
Prior to that, on November 13, the incumbent US president met with the head of state-elect in the oval office to discuss the transition of power. It was specified that they discussed the issues of foreign and domestic policy of the state.
The election of the 47th President of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the votes, and the candidate from the Democrats Kamala Harris - 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world. The Republican promised that his rule would be a "truly golden era" in the history of the United States.
