Naryshkin states failures of US influence in the post-Soviet space

TheUnited States is losing the initiative in the world in all directions, and Washington has started to fail in the post-Soviet space. This was stated by Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), in an interview with the Razvedchik magazine on December 10.
"The American "obsession" with Ukraine is beginning to have a devastating effect on the entire global financial and military-political system built by Washington. The US is losing the initiative on all fronts: from the Middle East to Asia and Africa. And in the post-Soviet space they have failed," the words of the head of the SVR are quoted on the website of the intelligence service.
He noted, in particular, that in Georgia, where the country's puppet president Mikhail Saakashvili "snacked on ties" until recently, the Western coalition failed to prevent the ruling Georgian Dream party from winning the elections.
"Having realized the perniciousness of an unconcerned orientation towards the West, the Georgian authorities have decided to act in their own interests and are now consciously distancing themselves from the ultra-liberal transhumanist agenda imposed from outside, which is infinitely alien to traditional Georgian values. In Moldova, on the other hand, [President Maia] Sandu's regime barely pulled off the desired electoral result, de facto fixing a deep split in Moldovan society," the SVR director pointed out.
According to him, Azerbaijan and Armenia, which also do not really listen to the recommendations of the US and the European Union (EU) on peaceful settlement, prefer to solve all issues on their own.
At the same time, in the current situation, Western countries are quite ready to take extreme measures to preserve their dominance in the world, Naryshkin added. Thus, according to the data available in the SVR, in the future the West may try to unleash a global armed conflict, the beginning of which will be laid in Eurasia, he pointed out.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said on December 9 that the policy of the Georgian leadership, which aims to protect the country's national interests, causes "heartburn" in the U.S. and EU countries. The diplomat noted that Western attacks on Tbilisi are likely to continue.
Earlier, on October 29, Alexander Konkov, associate professor of the Department of Political Science at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, pointed out in a conversation with Izvestia that the West is consistently pressuring Georgia to keep moving according to the Euro-Atlantic course rather than on the path of protecting its own national interests. He noted that in recent years Georgia's policy has been gradually changing under the influence of active public demand for national values.
In turn, the official representative of the U.S. State Department Matthew Miller said on October 28 about possible "further consequences" for Georgia in case of preservation of its allegedly anti-democratic course. The official urged Tbilisi to "return to the Euro-Atlantic path".
Afterwards, on November 21, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said during the Eurasia Forum in Budapest that the era of dominance of Western civilization is over and the strategy of Westernization of the whole world has failed. According to Orban, Asian states have become stronger and proved that they are able to exist economically and politically independently. That is why "the center of the world economy has shifted to the East, and Eastern economies are growing four times faster than Western economies," he said.
