American fighter Hardy has offered boxer Papin a brutal fight

American mixed style fighter Greg Hardy suggested Russian boxer Alexei Papin to make their bout on REN TV's Fight Club tournament violent and resembling a "war".

"Let's start a war. It's going to be bloody, let's show it!" - Hardy stated, addressing his opponent upon arrival at the airport.

The American weighs almost 30 kilograms more than his opponent. According to Papin, because of this, they tried to dissuade him from taking such a fight.

"Someone was discouraging. I do not remember who, but someone said: listen, he (Hardy - Ed.) is very big, why this fight? The coach was also surprised," - said the Russian fighter.

At the same time, Papin noted that for the first time at the stage of training he does not need to watch the weight.

Earlier in the day, Papin showed his training and said that he would not miss the opportunity to knockout Hardy. According to the boxer, he is currently getting in shape and is optimistic ahead of the fight.

A large-scale boxing tournament as part of the gala show "REN TV Fight Club. Superseries" will be held on December 13 in the sports complex "Megasport". The main event of the evening will be a bout between MMA fighter Vitaly Minakov and boxer Kevin Johnson. Papin and Hardy will meet in a consensual fight. Also European champion, two-time Russian boxing champion Sergey Kuzmin and professional boxer Murad Khalidov will enter the ring.
