FSB detains man with dual citizenship for preparing a sabotage on SBU assignment


A citizen of Russia and Germany, suspected of preparing a sabotage on the railroad in Nizhny Novgorod on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), has been detained. This was reported in the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB on December 10.
"Identified and detained a group of young people involved in the commission of common crimes. They included a citizen of Russia and Germany born in 2003," - stated in the message of the agency.
It is specified that in the house of the man found explosives and means of communication, which recorded correspondence with a representative of the Ukrainian security services. In addition, it turned out that he belongs to a youth group of adherents of neo-Nazism.
It was established that in November this year, the detainee was preparing a sabotage on a section of the railroad in Nizhny Novgorod with the use of an improvised explosive device. It was specified that for this he was promised a monetary reward.
A criminal case under Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Sabotage") was initiated on this fact.
Earlier, on December 2, Zaporizhzhya regional court sentenced a citizen of Ukraine to 14 years in a strict regime colony for sabotage on Melitopol railroad. The defendant handed over to an SBU officer the corrected coordinates of a transport infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhya Region for a further missile and artillery strike by the Ukrainian army.
