Over the week, 45 civilians were injured and five killed due to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). This was reported on Tuesday, December 10, by the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador for special assignments on the crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik.
He specified that the AFU fired a total of 1,290 munitions at civilian objects.
"From December 2 to December 8, 50 civilians suffered from Nazi shelling: 45 people were wounded, including one minor, five people were killed," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Miroshnik noted that among the injured there are six rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who were injured in a drone attack on a gas station in Tokmak in Zaporizhzhya region.
On December 8, it was reported that the AFU attacked the car of Vasily Turenko, rector of the Kazan Church in Gorlovka, which was delivering humanitarian aid, with the help of a drone.
On the same day, the head of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko said that at least seven people were injured in the AFU attack on buses in Gorlovka. He specified that the militants dropped an explosive object from a UAV on a bus of route No. 8 in a residential area of the Nikitovskyi district of Horlivka, resulting in civilian casualties.
Ukrainian militants have been shelling the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, on a daily basis amid the special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
