Artillery with the help of "Grads" destroyed AFU military equipment in the Kursk region

Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the "North" group of troops have destroyed positions with personnel, military equipment, strongholds and observation posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on December 10.

Thanks to the work with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) units, the Grad MLRS calculations in conditions of the need for rapid response and maximum concentration successfully perform their combat tasks around the clock.

"We are in constant motion. I initially choose firing positions based on where I can reach and where my work is necessary to cover the maximum amount of territory, <...> so as not to work twice from the same position, to reduce the likelihood of being hit by the enemy," said the commander of the crew with the call sign Lesnik.

In the course of aerial reconnaissance with the help of drones, the location of AFU units that are trying to gain a foothold in the Kursk region is established. The scouts then transmit the exact coordinates to artillery calculations to eliminate them.

After preparing the MLRS for firing, the calculation moves to the firing area. After successfully accomplishing the assigned tasks, the unit promptly winds down and moves to a safe place to reload.

"Grads" are constantly under threat of enemy attack due to their effectiveness and firepower, so the calculations constantly have to move.

Earlier, on December 6, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Grad MLRS calculations of the Marine infantry unit of the "North" group of troops destroyed positions with manpower and military equipment of the AFU militants in the border area of Kursk Region.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
