Passenger trains from Primorye to DPRK and PRC approved in the schedule of the Far Eastern Railway

Passenger trains from Primorye to the Chinese city of Suifenhe and Tumangan(DPRK) have been approved in the new train schedule of the Far Eastern Railway (FER), which will be effective from December 15 this year. This is stated on December 10 on the website of Russian Railways.

"In international traffic, train No. 401/402 Grodekovo (RF) - Suifenhe (PRC), canceled in 2020 after the start of the coronavirus pandemic, will go out on the route. In addition, a new train #645/646 Khasan (RF) - Tumangan (DPRK) has been appointed. It will carry passengers until the resumption of train #651/652 Ussuriysk (RF) - Tumangan (DPRK)," the statement said.

The passenger train schedule was first adopted for a three-year period - from 2024 to 2027.

As a result, the share of modern trains will exceed 90%. A total of 560 cars "Moscow-2024" will be delivered in the outgoing and next year.
