The crew of a T-72B3M tank destroyed an AFU firing position in the SSE zone

Tankers of the Vostok group of troops from Buryatia have destroyed a fortified firing position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at one of the directions in the special operation zone. This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on December 10.

"We performed the combat task of overcoming mine and explosive barriers, thus making a passage for infantry," said the commander of the tank platoon with the call sign Angar.

The crew of the T-72B3M tank, under the influence of the enemy's FPV drones, moved to the front lines of the AFU defense and on the move delivered a powerful fire attack on the Ukrainian positions.

Moreover, with the help of an anti-mine trawl, Russian tankers managed to clear the way for the advance of the attackers.

"Were walking at low speeds through the minefield itself, at the same time we were fighting and demining the field," said a gunner-operator with the call sign Malan.

According to Angar, the Russian military has no fear while performing combat work, there is only the goal - to fulfill the task.

The work of the tankers of the eastern grouping is carried out around the clock together with the Orlan-30 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which coordinates the crew of the T-72B3M tank.

Earlier, on December 3, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the crew of a T-72BZ tank destroyed AFU strongholds in the Krasnoarmeysk direction. Thus, the offensive of the assault units was supported.

Prior to that, on November 26, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that servicemen of the T-80 tank crew of the motorized rifle unit of the "Vostok" group of troops hit an AFU stronghold, thus supporting the attack of assault groups in the South Donetsk direction.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
