The Russian Embassy told about the work on strengthening the legal framework with Qatar

Moscow and Doha are working on draft documents, the signing of which will contribute to strengthening the legal framework of bilateral relations. This was reported to Izvestia by the Russian Embassy in Qatar.

"The issue of giving the Russian-Qatari relations an official strategic status is not being discussed at the current stage. However, a number of draft bilateral documents are under consideration, the signing of which will certainly contribute to the strengthening of the contractual and legal basis of Russian-Qatari relations," the Russian Embassy in Doha said.

On December 7, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the margins of the Doha Forum. They discussed the main topics of the forum, including the situation in Syria and Palestine.
