Izvestia journalist Yana Revushkina (correspondent of the "Society" department) was announced on December 9 as the winner of the contest "DOT-journalism 2024" among the authors writing about domains and other Internet addressing systems, which is held by the .RU/.RF Coordination Center and the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) with the support of the "Sensible Internet" Foundation.
Revushkina won a prize in the "Domain (without)danger" nomination. The contestants' works were also considered in such categories as "Popularly About Domains", "Domain Coffee Break" and "Milestones of Runet".
"This year was truly a record-breaking year: more than 700 works were submitted to the contest, devoted to the domain industry, digital technologies and cybersecurity. We are especially pleased to see among the participants and laureates journalists who have already participated in the contest for more than the first time," reads the message published on the contest page.
In addition, as part of the Runet Awards 2024, VK Video was announced the video service of the year in two categories at once - "Children's Runet and Family Values" and "Cultural Projects".
The first category was awarded to the show "Crazy Inventions" with showman and musician Alexander Pushny and youtuber Danya Kruster, and the second - for joint projects with "Cinema Mail".
Earlier in the day, the Rosguard received the Runet Award. It is specified that the Department achieved victory in the nomination due to its contribution to strengthening the openness of the work of law enforcement agencies for the public.
The Rosguard recalled that the department was awarded the Runet Award for the third time. For the first time it received this award in 2020 for the media project "Test of Strength" about its service activities. Two years later, the award was given to the Rosgvardiya film studio, which made a documentary about Lieutenant Maxim Kontsov, who heroically died on a combat mission in a special operation zone.
