Putin extends payments to those disabled in the SSO zone to volunteers

On December 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on payments for participants of combat operations in the combat zone of the North Caucasus Military District, according to which disability payments in the amount of 4 million rubles will be received by volunteers operating in the territory of the DNR, LNR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

In addition, the payments apply to the FSB, Rosgvardia and a number of other agencies, whose employees were injured in the zone of the North Caucasus Military District, resulting in disability.

Earlier, on November 14, the head of state signed a decree on a lump-sum payment of 4 million rubles to the participants of the SWO, who received disability as a result of wounds and injuries.

November 6, Putin in his congratulations to the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights on its 20th anniversary noted that control over the observance of the rights of participants of special operations and their families is the most important area of activity of the structure.

Before that, November 5, it became known that Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov at a meeting with State Secretary - Deputy Head of the Ministry of Defense Anna Tsivileva on social support of special operation participants instructed to develop regulations for a balanced approach to payments to wounded servicemen. The Minister called it a very important area.

On October 14, the Russian Defense Ministry proposed to recognize as veterans of combat operations the military personnel who repel the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and fight provocations on the state border in the regions near the special operation zone. It is proposed to allocate over 3.4 billion rubles for the implementation of changes in the law "On Veterans" in 2025-2027.
