The educator gave advice on how to work on mistakes after a mock exam

If the results of mock exams were not as expected, it only means that the student can analyze his or her weaknesses and identify what should be improved, said Victoria Podsukhina, a teacher and head of regional teaching at MAXIMUM Education. She told Izvestia how to properly conduct error work after a trial exam and effectively use the time before the start of the USE or USE.
"The first thing to do is to analyze the results. It is necessary to look at the results objectively, without getting upset and without trying to generalize all your failures. It is important to examine which topics and types of tasks caused difficulties. Perhaps they were errors not related to knowledge of the theory, but due to inattention or lack of knowledge of the criteria," the expert said.
According to her, sometimes it happens that work on errors shows that one particular block in the subject suffers - for example, a particular rule in the Russian language. The teacher explained that it is possible to support motivation if the student can trace progress, for example, in comparison with the beginning of the school year, as well as if you look at those moments with which, on the contrary, he coped well.
"After identifying errors, you should try to understand why the pupil made these mistakes. Is it a lack of knowledge of theory or a lack of understanding of the topic? If the mistakes were due to inattention, it is a problem of time management - the pupil does not know how to allocate time competently to have time to reread assignments and check them for errors. When a child understands a clear reason, he or she can develop a more focused preparation plan," said Podsukhina.
For its compilation, first of all, the specification of the goal and the formation of the task are important, the expert emphasized. For example, you can set a goal to learn how to solve specific tasks in a month or learn a certain topic.
In addition, she explained that when drawing up a schedule, a schoolchild should pay special attention to those tasks that cause him the most difficulties. These topics can be identified just during the error work.
"When the student will study the already solved version of the trial exam, it is necessary to find the correct solutions to each of the tasks that were solved incorrectly, and then an explanation of why this error occurred," Podsukhina said, specifying that for help the child can turn to a teacher at school or an online school teacher.
According to her, in the end it is necessary to find the right algorithm for solving a particular problem, no matter what subject we are talking about.
At the same time, she emphasized that it is worth remembering that the main thing is constant practice, supported by constant study of theory. And in order to use only proven materials, it is necessary to use all possible open sources, including the bank of tasks of the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements.
"A frequent problem is when a student, after a failed attempt to write a trial exam, becomes afraid of subsequent mistakes as well. However, understanding these mistakes and working on them is a big step forward. Therefore, the student can visualize how he or she will feel in the exam when he or she solves each problem with confidence. Such visualization of success helps quite well," Podsukhina concluded.
Earlier, on December 5, Podsukhina told Izvestia that it is not recommended to study a large amount of information in the last days before the exam. According to her, it is best to go through the notes again and solve simple test tasks. At the same time, rushing to study theory can cause a high level of stress.
