The body of a 10-year-old boy was found while extinguishing a fire in an apartment in Smolensk. This was reported on December 8 in the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Smolensk region.
"To fully and comprehensively establish all the circumstances of the incident, the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Smolensk region immediately initiated criminal proceedings on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a minor")", - stated in the message of the regional IC, published on the website.
It is noted that, according to preliminary data, the child lived in the apartment together with his father. Now the whereabouts of the latter is established. The circumstances and causes of the incident are being clarified.
Earlier, on December 7, it was reported about the death of two children of two and four years old in a fire in Podolsk. The fire could have arisen due to the emergency mode of operation of the electric heater. It is noted that the children were alone in the apartment.
