Zabaikalye will change its garbage handling scheme

The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Zabaikalsky Krai discussed the draft territorial scheme of waste management. The document is available on the website of the department, reports IA ChitaMedia on Monday, December 9.

The scheme is updated as needed. It includes data on the emergence of new sources of solid waste, including the location of accumulation and collection sites, as well as facilities for the treatment, utilization and disposal of waste.

Ministry officials have considered and taken into account all comments and suggestions. Work on the project continues.

Earlier in December it was reported that in the territory of Transbaikalia until 2030 it is planned to eliminate 349 unauthorized dumps included in the relevant register of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia. In total, there are more than 800 illegal waste accumulation sites in the region.
