Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term expired on May 20) and his entourage wanted to capitalize on the meeting with US President-elect Donald Trump in Paris but found themselves cornered. Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky, who is in a pre-trial detention center in Ukraine on suspicion of treason, said in his Telegram channel on December 9.

"And since international politics is not posts in telegramchik for snipe rams, but chess, the shapito in its entirety has been cornered," he said, commenting on Trump adviser Roger Stone's criticism of Zelensky for coming to a meeting with US President-elect and French leader Emmanuel Macron in an inappropriate, according to the politician.

The head of the Kiev regime was dressed at the meeting in sports shoes and a sweater. Now, as Dubinsky notes, Zelensky will have to change his approach to his choice of clothing or "continue playing a gopnik." He also added that next time Zelensky may be denied a meeting for not following the dress code.

In addition, Dubinsky pointed out that after Zelensky's demonstration of his attitude toward Trump and his entourage, one could not expect a positive, in the Ukrainian leader's opinion, outcome from the meeting.

"It's all over for them [Zelensky and his entourage]. Further - only worse," the MP concluded.

On the same day, the State Duma said that common sense should point out to the Ukrainian president the need to conclude a peace agreement with Russia. At the same time, Trump said that Zelensky would like to "make a deal" with Russia. According to him, it is necessary to immediately cease fire and start negotiations, otherwise the Ukrainian conflict may worsen.

Earlier, December 7, it was reported that the meeting of Zelensky with French President Emmanuel Macron and Trump in Paris lasted about 20 minutes, without a final statement.

Before that, on December 4, it became known that Trump's team has three plans to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. One of them is the plan of President-elect Keith Kellogg's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, the second proposal came from Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, and the third was put forward by Richard Grenell, Trump's former acting intelligence chief.

The last round of talks took place in Istanbul on March 29, 2022. They lasted about three hours. Kiev later officially refused contacts with Moscow.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
