A memorial in memory of the fallen graduates was unveiled in Perm's Rosgvardiya school

A memorial plaque in memory of graduates who died in the performance of military duty was unveiled in the Perm Presidential Cadet School of the Russian Federal Guard. This was reported in the press service of the department on December 9.

The plate is an addition to the memorial complex, which consists of a colonnade, a monument to Hero of Russia Fyodor Kuzmin, plates with the names of fallen soldiers of the SOBR and OMON, as well as the Fire of Memory.

"It is symbolic that today we open the memorial plate on the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland. Our whole country, all our people have a relation to it. Every generation has its heroes, and every family keeps the memory of heroic ancestors. We preserve, honor and continue these traditions," said Deputy Head of the Department of the Federal Guardia in the Perm Territory, Police Colonel Sergei Cherepanov, who opened the memorial.

In addition, the ceremony was attended by Colonel Evgeny Kanygin, head of the school, retired Lieutenant General Vladimir Sikerin, a member of the Club of Russian military leaders, Sergei Nekrasov, chairman of the board of the Perm regional public organization of military-patriotic education "Veteran Reserve" of the special forces of the Russian Federal Guard, as well as cadets, teachers of the institution, invited guests and relatives of the victims.

After the ceremony, the gathered honored the victims with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the memorial plate of the monument to Fyodor Kuzmin.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the occasion of the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland, presented Gold Star medals to military men who were awarded the title of Hero of Russia. The ceremony took place in the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace. The head of state awarded the medals to Major Sergei Selivanov, Warrant Officer Artem Prokhoda, Lieutenant Denis Raspopov, Private Alexei Asylkhanov, Captain Valeria Enina, Colonel Dmitry Sablin.
