A case has been opened over the explosion of a warehouse in the Moscow region for safety violations

A criminal case has been opened over an explosion in a warehouse in the industrial zone in the village of Lesnoy in Pushkinsky urban district. This was reported on December 9 in the press service of the State Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee (GUSU SK) of Russia in the Moscow region.

"A criminal case has been opened on the fact of violation of industrial safety requirements of hazardous production facilities (part 1 of article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)", - stated in the Telegram-channel.

Information about the victims is being clarified. Investigators will proceed to the examination of the territory after the removal of the rubble.

The prosecutor's office believes that the cause of the emergency could have been a localized earthquake

The industrial premises caught fire in the east of Moscow earlier in the day. According to the Izvestia source, the fire broke out in a paint booth on Burakova Street.

About an hour later, EMERCOM specialists completely extinguished the fire. It was reported that three people may still remain under the rubble.
