- A woman from St. Petersburg will pay 10 thousand rubles for insulting her ex-husband in correspondence

Kirovsky district court of St. Petersburg has charged a woman with 10 thousand rubles for insulting her ex-husband in correspondence in WhatsApp (owned by Meta, the activities of which are banned in Russia). This was reported on Monday, December 9, in the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.
The man sued the former spouse who insulted him in WhatsApp, demanding 100 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage and 300 rubles in state duty. He stated that she had been sending him insulting messages for a long time, comparing him to animals, an alcoholic, a drug addict and using other humiliations, which hurt his feelings and caused him to suffer.
The woman denied guilt, claiming that her insults in the correspondence were a response to the man's provocations, and the man himself often uses foul language, so he could not receive moral harm from her messages.
"The court read the correspondence, opened the dictionaries Ushakov and Ozhegov, saw, for example, that "ugly" is a person, ugly to the point of ugliness, and recovered from Elena in favor of her ex-husband 10 thousand rubles", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.
Earlier, June 24, it was reported that the resident of Magadan was fined several thousand rubles for insulting a former cohabitant. It was specified that in March 2024 the man came to find out the relationship at work to the woman, where he used foul language. On the fact of this incident, the prosecutor's office conducted an inspection. An administrative case was initiated against the attacker and he received a fine of 5 thousand rubles.
