Ex-head of Feodosia sentenced to eight years in prison for corruption


The former head of the city of Feodosiya in Crimea has been sentenced to eight years in prison for corruption. This was reported on December 9 by the Department of Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The defendant was found guilty of abuse of power, fraud by a group of persons with the use of official position on a particularly large scale, extortion and bribery. It is noted that together with the man convicted and his cohabitant. He is charged with "inaction in favor of the bribe-giver", the woman - group fraud on a particularly large scale.
It is established that in 2022, the defendant, knowing about the intention of a local resident to provide his house to refugees from the liberated territories - moved to live in Feodosia large family, illegally executed documents of purchase and sale of the house on his cohabitant. At the same time, the 31-year-old woman had no rights to improve her living conditions. The couple caused damage to the owner in the amount of 7.397 million rubles, depriving him of his legal rights to the residential premises.
Further, the official, having no grounds for redemption and application of benefits, signed documents on transfer of ownership of land plots of different purposes to entrepreneurs from the tourism industry, causing damage to the municipality in the amount of 72 million rubles. After that, having information about the violations committed by another entrepreneur, the head of the municipality for a reward of 100 thousand rubles stopped the departmental inspection.
"The former head of the administration of Feodosia is appointed punishment in the form of eight years of imprisonment in a penal colony of strict regime, his accomplice - in the form of four years of imprisonment in a penal colony of general regime, which she will serve after her child reaches the age of 14 years", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.
Criminal activity of the official was discovered and suppressed by the Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia with the assistance of the UEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
Earlier on December 9, Chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin said that the property of Deputy Governor of the Tyumen region Vyacheslav Vakhrin and Director of LLC "Specialized Developer Vostok Development" Alexei Gotsyk, against whom a criminal case of corruption is being investigated, was arrested for the amount of 150 million rubles. Investigators found that the official in December 2022 received a bribe of 13 million rubles from Gotsyk as a discount on the purchase of two apartments in a luxury residential complex in Tyumen. The investigation of the criminal case is at the final stage, said the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
