Ex-deputy chairman of the Moscow Region government Svetlana Strigunkova and her accomplices received bribes worth more than 170 million rubles over three years, while the ex-officer took more than 119 million rubles for herself. This was reported by Chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Alexander Bastrykin on December 9.
"The total amount of bribes amounted to more than 170 million rubles, with Strigunkova keeping 70% for herself and the rest distributed among other co-conspirators," he told RIA Novosti.
Bastrykin specified that more than 13 people are involved in the ex-officer's case, including also heads of construction firms. He specified that Strigunkova and her accomplices in 2021-2023 received bribes in the amount of 5-10% of the amounts of concluded state contracts from the heads of construction organizations.
Thedetention of the former official on suspicion of receiving a bribe of at least Br123 million was reported on April 24. The next day Strigunkova was arrested. The guilt of the former first deputy chairman of the government of the Moscow region did not recognize. Strigunkova has been in charge of the health care block in the Moscow Region government since 2020. She left her post in the administration at the end of March 2024.
Her former colleague Alexander Zakharov, the former deputy health minister of the region, who made a deal with the investigation, testified against Strigunkova.
