Weather forecaster warned residents of Moscow and the Moscow region about frost at the end of the week

On Friday, December 13, real frosts will come to the Moscow region, a leading specialist of the information agency Meteonovosti Tatyana Pozdnyakova told Izvestia on December 9. According to her, it is possible that on Saturday the air temperature will be below -10 degrees Celsius in some places.

The forecaster specified that on Monday there may be icy phenomena, which will be mainly observed in the western regions of the Moscow region.

"Atmospheric pressure on Tuesday will remain at the level of 760 mm. But the air temperature will already be negative both at night and during the day, so there will be a little snow in places during the day. The minimum temperature in Moscow -1...-3, in the region - up to -6 degrees. The maximum is exactly the same - -1...-3. This indicates that during the 10th the air temperature will decrease", - specified Pozdnyakova.

According to her, on Wednesday the capital region will be under the influence of a cyclone, the center of which is over the Polar Urals. Atmospheric pressure will decrease, the weather will remain cloudy with light snow. At the same time the wind will change to north-western. The minimum temperature in Moscow on December 11 will be -3...-5, in the region - up to -7. Daytime temperature - -1...-3, in the region - up to -5 degrees.

"In the following days, an independent cyclone will form in the hollow of the northern cyclone. On Thursday, its center will be east of the Moscow region. Most of the region will already be in colder air," the forecaster added.

According to her, December 12, a small snow will remain. The temperature will continue to fall.

"On Friday, real frost will come to us. Snow is not excluded, but it will be mainly due to freezing of water vapor in the air. The minimum temperature on Friday in the [Moscow] region will be -3...-8, daytime temperature - -1...-6 degrees. On Saturday, the temperature drop will continue. And it is possible that in some places the air temperature will be lower than -10 degrees, and the average daily temperature will be 4, 5 degrees below the climatic norm", - concluded Pozdnyakova.

Earlier, December 3, the scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand said that the coming winter on the territory of the Russian Federation promises to be variable and heterogeneous. At the same time, according to him, thaws will be more frequent than severe frosts, and milder weather will prevail.
