The court arrested the former deputy general director of the Kursk Region Development Corporation JSC

The Leninsky District Court of Kursk has elected a preventive measure in the form of remand in custody for two months against the former deputy general director of the Kursk Region Development Corporation JSC Igor Grabin Igor Grabin. This was reported on December 9 by the united press service of the judicial system of the region.

The decision was taken after consideration of the corresponding petition from the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kursk region, in which Grabin is charged with abuse of power.

The investigation materials state that the ex-officer was entrusted with administrative and economic functions in the corporation from February 2023 to September 2024, related to management, disposal of property and finances.

"The bodies of the preliminary investigation, he is accused of unjustified spending of funds intended for the construction of fortifications in the Kursk region (part 3 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, "Abuse of official powers")", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the press service.

Earlier on December 9, the Deputy Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein resigned the government of the region. Before that, on December 6, the court remanded Denis Mikhailov, general director of Lenbytkhim LLC, in custody in the case of large-scale fraud in the supply of property for the needs of the Ministry of Defense. According to the press service of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the defendant is accused of fraud in the execution of the state defense order (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). It is established that Mikhailov deliberately inflated prices for materials and raw materials in the execution of contracts worth 115 million rubles with JSC "Voentorg". Thus, more than 50 million rubles was stolen.
