During three days, from December 5 to 7, more than 40 practice-oriented sessions were held at four venues, which were attended by more than 120 speakers from three foreign countries, Russian regions, authorities and the creative community. The business program of the forum reflected the key issues of creative economy development in Russia: the role of creative industries in the spatial and socio-economic development of cities, the integration of values into regional strategies for the development of creative industries, the specifics of the federal law on creative industries, the export potential of Russian creative products, the impact of digital technologies on the creative industries, new formats of museums and art residences, promotion and popularization of brands in the creative industries.

In terms of industry, the forum discussions covered a wide range of creative industries, including design and fashion, IT and media, architecture and urbanism, fine and applied arts.

"The role of creative industries is very high not only in the economic aspect, but also in the social aspect. Therefore, at the end of each district forum we get a deep and versatile elaboration of the multifaceted topic of creative economy, new collaborations, formation of solutions that strengthen regional teams in the development of creative industries. On the platform of the Russian Creative Week - Volga, we have developed a number of practical recommendations that will contribute to the further development of a large cross-industry all-Russian project "Creative Economy", - emphasized Marina Mongush (Abramova), Director of the forum "Russian Creative Week", President of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Creative Economy".

Thus, on the first day of the forum there were strategic sessions devoted to the integration of value orientations in the development strategies of creative industries and the role of creative economy in the spatial development of cities. Based on the results of the geoforesight session "Volga - Territory of Creativity: from spatial development strategy to comfortable urban environment" held with the participation of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, it is planned to create a pilot Russian creative master plan for Nizhny Novgorod. The document will take into account the needs of the creative class, the peculiarities of the region's creative industries and will become one of the foundations of the city's spatial development.

The practical importance of the dialog with the creative community on the application of the federal law on the development of creative industries and the value content of creative products was emphasized by Oleg Berkovich, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region:

"The undoubted value of the meeting in Nizhny Novgorod is the conversation about the new law, the law on creative industries. Not all creative industries still understand it, not everyone knows how to live with it. And it's really important to talk about values: how they should be transmitted and what tools can be used for this in the future. Our task is to share our approaches with the country, because there is nothing wrong with our values.

The organizers paid special attention to the prospects for the development of folk art crafts (NAC), which reflects the specifics of the region where Russian Creative Week - Volga is held. The Nizhny Novgorod region ranks second after Moscow in terms of the volume of production in the field of arts and crafts by the end of 2023, 25 enterprises of this branch of the creative economy operate in the region. Vectors of folk arts and crafts development in the context of creative economy were discussed at several thematic sessions and round tables.

A separate block of the festival-forum program included lectures and master classes from leading marketing specialists, experts and authors of successful creative products.

"Russian Creative Week - Volga" is not only a platform for expert discussion of creative industries, but also an important cultural event. The festival program includes exhibitions, special menus from Nizhny Novgorod cafes and restaurants, premieres of performances and musical jam sessions. Only at the Mayak Academy, the main venue of the Creative Week in Nizhny Novgorod, there were three unique exhibition projects.
