Russian Armed Forces strike military airfields and railroad facilities of the AFU


The Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) have hit the infrastructure of military airfields and railway facilities that provide delivery of Western equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Monday, December 9.
"The Russian Armed Forces struck the infrastructure of military airfields, railway facilities providing delivery of western equipment to the AFU, places of assembly and storage of unmanned aerial vehicles, a fuel depot, as well as accumulations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 147 areas," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, units of the "South" grouping of forces defeated the enemy in the areas of six settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). Also, the "West", "Center" and "North" groups improved their positions on the front and defeated the AFU's manpower.
Air defense means (air defense), in turn, shot down 10 American HIMARS missiles and 36 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the AFU.
Earlier in the day, military scouts of the separate reconnaissance battalion of the 58th general army of the "Dnipro" group of troops discovered the area of AFU concentration in the zone of special military operation (SMO). It was specified that after the work of scouts to identify the location and calculate the combat numerical composition of the enemy was struck.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
