The new Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal has arrived on a visit to Kiev. About it on Monday, December 9, reports the TV channel ERR.

"Ukraine's victory is a victory for Europe, the United States and the entire democratic world as a whole. No decisions about the future of Kiev can be made without his participation," Michal said upon his arrival.

The politician is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (his term expired in May), Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk and Head of Government Denys Shmygal. Mykhal will also meet with the heads of the ministries of digital information, defense and foreign affairs.

It is specified that Mihal will also open an Estonian-Ukrainian business forum in Kiev.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the candidate for the post of German Chancellor and head of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Friedrich Merz also arrived on a visit to Kiev. The purpose of his visit was to meet with Zelenskyy to understand his strategy regarding the conflict.
