Exhausted mushroom hunter found in reeds near Svetlograd

An elderly mushroom hunter got lost in a field in the vicinity of Svetlograd, Stavropol Territory. He was found by the head of the department of district police officers Vladimir Platkovsky, reports the press service of the regional head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Monday, December 9.
On the disappearance of a 73-year-old man in the Petrovsky police department was reported by his wife. According to her, the spouse left by car for mushrooms. In the evening, the pensioner called on the phone and reported that he got lost. The woman and her neighbor tried to find the mushroom picker on their own, but it was already dark.
Law enforcers came to the aid of the lost man. The police found the man's car, and Platkovsky was able to reach him and give landmarks on the ground - the railroad and the riverbed.
As a result of the search, the pensioner was found in a thicket of reeds. He was exhausted from fatigue and cold and could hardly walk. The victim was treated and handed over to relatives, writes IA StavropolMedia.
Earlier "Izvestia" wrote that at least 114 people poisoned by mushrooms since the beginning of the year, three of them died. Rospotrebnadzor confirmed 51 cases of poisoning by poisonous mushrooms.
