Chita will intensify efforts to catch stray dogs

In Chita will strengthen the work on catching unsupervised dogs in winter, now additional forces are attracted for these purposes. Such an order was given by the mayor of the city Inna Scheglova during the planning meeting on Monday, December 9.

According to the information of the head of the municipal economy committee Marina Popova, 400 dogs were caught last week. Now there are 3011 dogs in shelters, writes IA ChitaMedia.

In response to these figures Shcheglova said that the week before last they caught more stray animals than last week. The work needs to be intensified, because in winter dogs become more aggressive because of the cold and lack of food.

Earlier it was reported that in Chita from December 1 began to work additional crews to catch stray dogs. About 60-80 stray dogs are caught daily.
