A criminal case has been opened after a car bombing in Donetsk


A criminal case has been opened in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) in connection with a car explosion in the regional capital. This was reported on Monday, December 9, by the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.
"A criminal case has been opened in the DNR in connection with an incident in the center of Donetsk, as a result of which a car was damaged and two local residents were injured," the agency said in its Telegram channel.
Investigators and experts are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident, including an inspection of the scene, search operations and the appointment of expert examinations, including an explosive examination.
The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established.
Earlier in the day it was reported that a car exploded in Donetsk. According to "RIA Novosti", the explosion occurred in the area of the driver's door. As a result of the incident two people were injured. Presumably, one of them had his leg torn off.
