Sobyanin announced the end of the archaeological field season

Moscow archaeologists have completed another field season, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
"It became a record in the number of found objects and the area of excavations - it almost doubled last year," - wrote Sobyanin in Telegram.
In total, specialists found more than 300 thousand artifacts - they were sent for restoration. Restoration work, according to the mayor, can last from a week to several years. After their completion, the artifacts will be transferred to museums.
Earlier in November, Sobyanin announced plans to transfer to the museum fund 600 artifacts found on Tverskaya Street. They were discovered in 2022-2023 during the study of the territory, which in the XIV-XVII centuries was part of the White City, and in the XVIII century - Kamer-Kollezhsky shaft. Most of the artifacts are fragments of ceramic vessels and kiln tiles.
Over the last five years the museum collections have been enriched with more than 47 thousand items found in Moscow.
