FSB detained 11 employees of Russian offices of international call centers

The FSB detained managers and employees of the Russian branch of the international network of call centers, who under the guise of investment transactions were engaged in fraud against citizens of the European Union (EU), the UK, Canada, Brazil, India and Japan. This was reported in the press service of the agency on December 9.
"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has suppressed illegal activities of the international network of "call centers", acting in the interests of the former Minister of Defense of Georgia and founder of the company "Milton Group" (Milton Group) David Kezerashvili, currently hiding in London", - reported the center of public relations of the FSB.
The agency specified that the international group, which covered its activities with investment deals, defrauded about 100 thousand people in more than 50 countries. Its income per day amounted to about $1 million.
The FSB identified the heads of call centers on the territory of Russia, who in 2022 spread false information about preparation of terrorist attacks on the infrastructure of Moscow, Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk. Citizens of Israel and Ukraine were detained.
A total of 11 people - managers and employees of Russian call centers - were detained within the framework of the criminal case of the FSB. They are charged under Art. 210 ("Organization of a criminal association"), Part 4 of Art. 159 ("Fraud on a large scale") and Part 3 of Art. 207 ("Knowingly false report of an act of terrorism") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation continues.
Earlier, December 7, it was reported that the FSB officers detained 12 people in Dagestan, who were preparing a major terrorist act. It was specified that during searches at the attackers were found small arms, ammunition, two improvised explosive devices, components for their manufacture, as well as 20 bags of ammonium nitrate with a total weight of 1 ton.
