The DNR thwarted 108 Ukrainian drone attacks in a week

During the week, air defense and electronic warfare systems thwarted 108 attacks by Ukrainian drones in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported in the regional FSSB on December 9.

"Over the past week, the system of airspace protection and electronic warfare "Dome of Donbass" detected and intercepted 108 enemy UAVs over Donetsk and Makeyevka", - stated in the message in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) increased the activity of reconnaissance drones over power, heat and water supply facilities in Kirov and Kuibyshev districts of Donetsk.

Earlier, on December 7, the Russian Defense Ministry said that up to 45 AFU fighters were destroyed by a TOC Solntsepek strike in the DNR. The recording shows a direct hit of rockets on the formations of the 23rd separate mechanized brigade of the AFU.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
