Three UAVs shot down in Rostov region reported by the acting governor of the Rostov region

Air defense forces in Rostov region destroyed three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported on December 9 by Yuri Slyusar, acting governor of the region.

"This night in the Rostov region by forces and means of air defense destroyed three UAVs: two - in the area of Millerovo and one - near Kamensk," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

According to him, no casualties or damage were recorded. Details are being clarified.

Earlier, on December 8, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones over five regions of Russia. According to the ministry, 17 UAVs were destroyed over the territory of Belgorod Region, 12 were destroyed over the territory of Kursk Region, six UAVs over the territory of Voronezh Region, seven UAVs over the territory of Rostov Region and four over the territory of Astrakhan Region.

Also on December 8, Slyusar reported the destruction of two UAVs in Rostov Region. According to him, there were no casualties as a result of the incident.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
