In Kuzbass there was a fire in a coal mine. This was reported on December 8 in the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Kemerovo region.

It is noted that the incident occurred at the mine in the Kaltan urban district.

"Mine rescuers are carrying out work at a coal enterprise in Kuzbass. All miners are brought to the surface," - stated in the message.

It is specified that six departments of mine rescuers are working on the site.

In June, two people were injured in a methane explosion at a depth of 400 meters in a mine in the town of Solikamsk, Perm region. As the Izvestia interlocutor noted, the victims were in critical condition, they were in the epicenter of the explosion: the medics recorded 70% and 90% burns on their bodies respectively. In addition, 182 people were evacuated from the scene.

A criminal case was opened over the incident under Part 1 Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of safety rules during construction or other works, if it resulted in negligent infliction of serious harm to human health").
