Saveliev says Russia plans to produce about 1,000 domestic airplanes


Russia plans to produce about 1 thousand domestic airplanes. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin on December 8.
"If Russians are ready to fly more, if there is such demand, and there is, of course, we can buy, if our industry does not have time to make," Saveliev said, a fragment of the conversation published on the website of "Russia 1".
Saveliev noted that even in a difficult situation in Russia manages to carry out 100 million transportation.
Earlier on December 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Council on Strategic Development and National Projects that the share of flights connecting Russian cities, bypassing Moscow, exceeds 50%. According to him, flights within the Russian Federation are becoming more convenient and faster. Putin expressed hope that this would curb the growth of fares.
