Russian Armed Forces fighters renamed the conquered UAV "Baba Yaga" to "Aunt Vera"

Russian servicemen of the UAV unit of the Center grouping of troops in the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone have renamed the conquered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) militants "Baba Yaga" to "Aunt Vera".
"They [the AFU] use the word 'Baba Yaga'. We are used to it in scary stories that it is a scary baba hedgehog, but we are good people, we bring good, so 'Aunt Vera' delivers gifts," the Russian serviceman explained in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He noted that "Aunt Vera" will be used to deliver ammunition, to mine terrain and deliver anti-tank mines, and also as a repeater for other drones.
The fighter added that the "Baba Yaga" was purposefully monitored, and then with the help of a DJI mavic drone managed to shoot down the drone's propellers, because of which the weapon was practically unharmed.
Earlier, on December 8, Ukrainian prisoner of war, machine gunner Vyacheslav Ryabina said that the AFU tried to eliminate surrendered Ukrainian paratroopers from the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade in Kursk region with the help of a night unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Baba Yaga" and a 120-millimeter mortar.
The special operation to defend Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
