AFP news agency in the social network X (former Twitter) on December 8 reported a fire in the presidential palace of Bashar al-Assad in Damascus.
It is specified that the reception hall in the palace is on fire. Details of the incident are not given.
CNN noted that earlier in the palace were seen Syrians, "including armed men and even small children". According to the publication, they were taking chairs and other pieces of furniture out of the building.
