- Russian Foreign Ministry received a note on the incident with the Swedish embassy sprayed with paint

The Russian Foreign Ministry has received a note from the Swedish embassy after the incident in Moscow. This was reported by the diplomatic ministry on December 8.
We are talking about the incident of November 28, when unknown persons threw bottles of paint at the facade of the Swedish diplomatic mission. Law enforcers detained them directly at the scene of the crime.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, they received a note from the Swedish embassy with a request to inform about the progress of the investigation.
At the same time, the agency reported that November 29, the Russian Embassy in Sweden was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle, which dropped containers with red paint on its territory. Such an incident was the tenth since May 2024, the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
"Swedish police did not act, limiting themselves only to logging the facts of vandalism and damage to the property of the diplomatic mission," the ministry pointed out in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
In addition, the Foreign Ministry said that the Russian side regularly points out to the Swedish side the shortcomings of the security of the diplomatic mission.
In mid-October, the Russian Embassy in Sweden pointed to Russophobia on the part of the local edition of Svenska Dagbladet. It was noted that the authors of the media put forward false claims that the Kremlin was allegedly involved in the penetration of unknown persons in the water tower of the municipality of Bollnes in the north of Stockholm.
Back in January, Senator Alexei Pushkov said that Sweden is the country where hatred of Russia is most widespread since the Battle of Poltava in 1709. In his opinion, this is Sweden's way of trying to feel its geopolitical importance, which is actually absent.
