Syria's head of government says most ministers remaining in Damascus

Most of the Syrian government ministers remain in Damascus. This was stated by Prime Minister of the country Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali to Al Arabiya TV channel on December 8.
According to him, the government is now negotiating with Syrian militant leaders.
"Our message to the people is that a new stage is beginning in the country," the TV channel quoted al-Jalali as saying on his social media page X.
The head of the SAR government also indicated that his last contact with the republic's President Bashar al-Assad took place the night before.
"I have no information about Assad's whereabouts and when he left the region," he pointed out.
On Sunday morning, the media reported that the Syrian president had left Damascus. It was specified that the Syrian Air plane left the airport of the capital and headed towards the coastal region of Syria, but then turned around before disappearing from the map. Later it was reported that Syrian terrorist formations took control of Seydnaya prison in the suburbs of Damascus and released all prisoners.
On November 29, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi called the activation of terrorists part of the US plan against the background of Israel's defeat in Lebanon. At the same time, the White House denied its involvement in the events.
In turn, Britain, the United States, France and Germany called on all parties in Syria to de-escalate, and Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that Russia strongly condemns the terrorists' outburst. In addition, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the Doha Forum on December 7 that it was unacceptable to allow terrorists to seize land in Syria.
