Ukrainian prisoner says untrained fighters sent to Kursk region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have started sending hastily trained "intensively" fighters to the front line in Kursk Region. Ukrainian prisoner of war paratrooper Vyacheslav Ryabina told about it on December 8.
"In the 95th brigade this center was located. Already the brigade took us away. There trained for a week. They called it so - "intensivka". Yes, there we were not even selected," - quotes his words "RIA Novosti".
He added that first the "selected" fighters were taken to Sumy, settled in a private house, after which they were given another "intensive" training and sent to the front line.
Ryabina said that out of the five people who arrived, three survived. They independently surrendered to the Russian army servicemen.
Earlier in the day, Ukrainian prisoner of war, machine gunner Vyacheslav Ryabina said that the AFU tried to eliminate surrendered Ukrainian paratroopers from the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade in the Kursk region with the help of a night unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) "Baba Yaga" and a 120-millimeter mortar.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy the militants continues.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
