A car with a child at the wheel overturned in Vladivostok

Two teenagers, including a minor driver, were injured when a Toyota RAV4 car overturned in Vladivostok. This was reported in the press service of the UMVD of Russia in Primorsky Krai on December 8.

"A 12-year-old boy, driving a Toyota RAV4, was moving from the side of Radio Street in the direction of Chapaev. In the area of the house number 93 on Mussorsky Street, the underage driver failed to cope with the management, made a collision with an obstacle (curbstone, slope) with the subsequent overturning of the vehicle", - stated in the message of the department in Telegram-channel.

According to the agency, the accident injured a 12-year-old driver, who was behind the wheel of the car, and an 11-year-old passenger. The injured were hospitalized.

It is preliminary established that the teenager without the knowledge of adults took the keys to the car and went for a ride with a friend. On this fact an inspection is being carried out.

"Initiated administrative proceedings under article 12.24 of the CAO RF "Violation of the Rules of road traffic or rules of operation of a vehicle, resulting in the infliction of light or medium severity of harm to the health of the victim", - wrote in the state traffic police in the region and added that the parents of the minor driver will be brought to administrative responsibility for improper performance of duties to raise their son.

Earlier, on the night of December 1, police in St. Petersburg detained two teenagers after a chase with shooting. Law enforcement officers tried to stop the car Kia Ceed in order to check documents, but the young man behind the wheel ignored their signal and, adding speed, drove on. Then law enforcement officers started chasing the driver, who, trying to escape, ran a red traffic light and also drove into the oncoming lane. In an attempt to apprehend the offender, the traffic officers opened fire on the wheels of the car. After the arrest it was found that the 17-year-old was evading the chase. There was also a 16-year-old passenger in the car.
