Pushkov revealed a possible plan by Trump's opponents

Opponents of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump may try to prevent the appointment of his candidates for key positions in the government, instead offering persons favorable to them. This was stated on December 8 by the head of the Commission of the Council of the Russian Federation on information policy Alexei Pushkov.
"It is quite possible that in the United States, Trump's opponents have already given up on his physical elimination. This is not certain, but very likely. Apparently, they have chosen, as we predicted, a different tactic: to 'screw' Trump's main nominees for key positions and surround him with all the same outwardly loyal neoconservatives and figures connected to the deep state," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Thus, Trump's nominee for prosecutor, Congressman Matt Gaetz, declined the nomination because of the scandal, and the nominee for head of the Department of Defense, Pete Hegseth, is fighting media attacks. Pushkov said Trump likely knows what's going on, but continues to hold his political course.
"Trump realizes this. And he nominates as candidates figures that arouse enthusiasm among the enemies of the "Washington swamp" to appease his supporters and activists from the MAGA movement. They say, "I proposed and fulfilled my promises, but if they don't get approved, it's not my fault. This is the American reality," Pushkov pointed out.
Earlier, on December 6, Trump appointed an investor, former director of the financial company PayPal David Sachs responsible for the US administration's policy in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrencies.
Prior to that, on December 1, Trump nominated Cash Patel, who was previously chief of staff to the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), to head the Pentagon.
The election of the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the cessation of military conflicts in the world.
