Krasnov announced the seizure of money and property worth 760 billion rubles from corrupt officials

Over five years, the Russian prosecutor's office has managed to secure 760 billion rubles worth of property of corrupt officials. This was reported by Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov to TASS on December 8.

"For 5 years prosecutors have filed more than 400 lawsuits, more than 11 thousand objects of movable and immovable property, as well as monetary funds for the amount exceeding 760 billion rubles have been recovered from corrupt officials to the state. For comparison, this money could be used to build more than 250 educational institutions," he said.

Krasnov pointed out that this is "the whole rottenness and abomination of corrupt officials," as they "fill their bottomless pockets" instead of building schools, buying medicines and helping large families.
