The Russian Defense Ministry told about the feats of the Russian Armed Forces servicemen in the NWO zone

On December 8, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian fighters participating in a special military operation (SMO).

According to the ministry, Captain Taras Asenin, commanding an anti-aircraft missile system, performed tasks to cover strategically important facilities of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) from enemy air attack means. While on duty, the serviceman received information from radar control units about the detection of an aerial target moving in the direction of the protected object. It was an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

Having made sure that there were no Russian aerial objects in the target zone, he gave a command to his subordinate crew to engage the target. When the air target entered the target zone of the anti-aircraft missile system, Asenin fired a missile that hit the enemy UAV, and then promptly moved the anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) to an alternate position.

At the same time, at the new position, Asenin organized the search and transfer of the drone's wreckage for analysis. The information extracted from the enemy drone helped the Russian fighters to study the flight routes of the AFU UAVs and further use it to detect Ukrainian drones even on approach, preventing them from gathering intelligence information on the position of the Russian Armed Forces troops and forces.

It is also reported that Senior Sergeant Ivan Nadeyev commanded an assault group in one of the important areas of the Russian troops' offensive to seize an enemy stronghold on the outskirts of a populated area. The serviceman, moving stealthily through a forest belt, heard the sound of an enemy reconnaissance drone approaching. The senior sergeant ordered his subordinates to take cover under the rubble of trees, while he continued to monitor the drone. The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) found no one and left the square. Then Nadeyev's group, remaining undetected by the enemy, continued moving towards the enemy stronghold.

After the Russian attack aircraft suddenly attacked the enemy who had lost their vigilance. Nadeyev was among the first to break into the stronghold and killed five Ukrainian fighters in small arms combat. The enemy suffered losses and retreated. Nadeyev and his subordinates took over the enemy stronghold without losses and entrenched themselves there until the main forces of the Russian Armed Forces approached.

Earlier, on December 7, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian military took control of the village of Berestki in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Also, 10 counterattacks of the AFU were repelled in the group's area of responsibility.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
