Phone scammers disguised as FSB officers stole 4 million rubles from the People's Artist of Russia and USSR State Prize winner Raisa Ryazanova. This was reported on December 7 by a source of "Izvestia".
"Attackers called Ryazanova and introduced themselves as FSB officers, after which they persuaded her to withdraw the money from her account and hand it over to a courier allegedly for safekeeping," the interlocutor noted.
According to the source, the calls began on December 4, after which Ryazanova withdrew cash and gave it to the courier.

Earlier, on December 6, in Lesosibirsk, police detained an 18-year-old young man who is suspected of involvement in telephone fraud. The student worked part-time as a courier, by the time of detention he had managed to deceive pensioners from Kansk and Krasnoyarsk. The total amount of damage amounted to about 1 million roubles.
