Togliatti's FC Akron defeated FC Zenit St. Petersburg in the last round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) before the winter break thanks to a goal by striker Artem Dzyuba.

The meeting in St. Petersburg ended 2-1.

Zenit's goal was scored by Andrey Mostovoi (21st minute). At Akron, Stefan Lonchar (10th) and Artem Dzyuba (40th) scored.
